The Lord’s Passover begins at twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month. On the fifteenth day of that month the Lord’s Feast of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast. On the first day () hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Leviticus 23:5-8 (NIV)…’From the day after the Sabbath (), count off seven full weeks. Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath, and then present an…offering of first fruits to the Lord – Leviticus 23:15-21 (NIV)

On the day that Jesus was raised from the dead:

The Disciples the Holy Spirit and are now

And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them,

“Receive (lambano) the Holy Spirit” – John 20:22 (NASB)

Acts 1:3-8

Approximately after the Disciples

the Holy Spirit Jesus says they will be the Holy Spirit (vv.3-5)

(Jesus) John baptized with water, but you will be baptized (baptizo) with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

– Acts 1:5 (NASB)

Baptize: baptizo – to immerse, submerge, to make whelmed (i.e., fully wet) (OTESD)

(v.8)

…but you will receive power (dunamis) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses (martus) both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

– Acts 1:8 (NASB95)

The purpose of the power is to be (martus) (v.8)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,

faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. – Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)

Acts 2

Pentecost will be after Jesus is raised

…offering of first fruits to the Lord – Leviticus 23:15-21 (NIV)
