Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you…. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation (ethnos) will rise against nation (ethnos), and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. – Matthew 24:3-8 (NKJV)

“For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. …were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, … “Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. ” Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.  – Matthew 24:37-41 (NASB)


 


The Rapture: Jesus comes His Church (Ch.4:13-18)

Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up (rapiemur- Lat. Vulgate) together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord – 1 Thessalonians 4:17

The 7-Year Tribulation

(Jesus) …then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, nor shall ever be– Matthew 24:21 (NKJV) Jesus quotes from Daniel 12:2

The 2nd Coming: After the Tribulation Jesus comes back to Earth
with His Church (Revelation 19:11-16)


How did they know? Paul (vv.1-2)

After the Rapture – The Day of The Lord:

For the day of the Lord is near, And it will come as destruction from the Almighty. – Joel 1:15 (NASB)

For the day is near, Even the day of the Lord is near; It will be a day of clouds, A time of doom for the nations. – Ezekiel 30:3 (NASB)

…they said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath (orgay) of the Lamb; for the great day of their wrath (orgay) has come, and who is able to stand?” – Revelation 6:16-17 (NASB)

You Brethren (believers) are to (vv.4-5)

For God has not destined us for wrath – 1 Thessalonians 5:9 (NASB)


A General Picture for you Brethren in the Light:

You must understand this: In the last days there will be violent periods of time. – 2 Timothy 3:1-2 (GWT)

There will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time …(JESUS QUOTED) “But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”…As for me, I heard but could not understand; so I said, “My lord, what will be the outcome of these events?” He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time. – Daniel 12:1-10 (NASB)

…seal it up so that it will not be understood until the end times, when travel and education shall be vastly increased!” – Daniel 12:4 (TLB)


Paul calls us to be  (vv.6-8)

To watch I have to know what to

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. – 1 Thessalonians 5:6 (KJV)

We are called to be not (v.8)

For God has not destined us for wrath (orgay), but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, – 1 Thessalonians 5:9 (NASB)
