God, Can You Bless This Mess?

Abraham is the father of all who believe – Romans 4:16 (NLT)

Abram: High Father (Strong’s)

(God) I will make you a great nation…Abram was seventy-five  – Genesis 12:2-4 (NASU)

And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth – Genesis 13:15-16 (NKJV)

But Abram said, “Lord God, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” Then Abram said, “Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!” – Genesis 15:2-3 (NKJV)

Jehovah El Roi: The God who sees me (K&D) Looks out for me

Beer-lahai-roi: The well of the living one, who sees me (K&D)

He is the God who me and for me (v.11)

Because the Lord (YHWH) has heard (shama) your affliction. – Genesis 16:11 (NKJV)

Shama: to hear intelligently (Strong’s)

Hagar the Egyptian God’s promise and returns in (vv.15-16)

Ishmael: God hears (Easton’s) Yi-shama-el
