Blessed are those who are not

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. – Matthew 5:3 (NASU)

Poor in spirit: i.e., those who are not spiritually arrogant (NASU)

Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, for you stand firm in your faith.

– 2 Corinthians 1:24 (ESV)

Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, 30but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms (), along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life. 31But many who are first will be last, and the last, first.”  – Mark 10:29-31 (NASB)

Hungering for righteousness is (v. 21)

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. – Matthew 5:6 (NASB 2020)
