Teach Us To Pray

When Jesus prayed it took (v.1)

Say: lego – verb; to “lay forth”, i.e., relate in words (usually of systematic or set discourse)

So Jesus told them, “Pray in this way… – Luke 11:2 (CEV)

The God of Heaven is a

“Our Father” invites to Himself

“Our Father” desires a relationship with

“Our Father”, the plural pronoun means I am coming to the Father

We do not end The Lord’s prayer by using the phrase “in Jesus’ name”

 The 1st Petition: Hallowed be Your Name (v.2)

Hallowed: hagiazo – to make holy, to venerate

Each name of God about God

When I hallow God’s name I for who He is

I hallow His name for not

God will not to (hallow) His name

The most important thing in prayer is that God’s name be magnified and exalted

The 2nd Petition: Thy kingdom come ()

Come: erchomai – to come or go 

I pray about what’s to God

Gospel, Missionaries, That His kingdom moves forward

(Jesus) Do business till I come – Luke 19:13 (NKJV)

Here it’s come not come 

(Jesus) seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

– Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

When I pray “Thy kingdom come” I am asking for something that is not to come into

I am asking for God’s kingdom to itself in and through life and the lives of

Implied in the Lord’s prayer is that I can

Jesus seems to imply that if we , “Thy kingdom come” it probably

Jehovah Sabaoth (The Lord of Hosts) or (The Lord of Heavenly Armies)

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty (Sabaoth) – Isaiah 6:3
