Being Prepared in The Last Days

October 24, 2021 / Pastor TJ Eve / 2 Timothy 3:1-4:5

I. Characteristics of the Apostasy

1. The Last Days Apostasy will be characterized by a

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” – 1 Timothy 6:10 (NIV)

“Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name.” – Hebrews 13:15 (NASB)

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen” – Ephesians 4:29 (NIV)

2. The Last Days Will Be Marked by

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” – Revelation 3:20 (NASB)

II. The Strategy of the Deceiver

1. The Evil One will prey on the

“Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33 (NIV)

2. The Evil One will perform

“…that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders” – 2 Thessalonians 2:9 (NASB)

3. The Evil One will increase against the Church

“They are surprised that you do not join them in their reckless, wild living, and they heap abuse on you.”

– 1 Peter 4:4 (NASB)

III. The Strategy to Persevere

1. Remember, is a command

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” – Matthew 28:19-20 (NASB95)

Ask Yourself:

Who is my ?

Who is my ?

2. Knowing is the basis of our faith

“For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” – Hebrews 4:12 (NASB95)

3. Use the Word to , and others

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.” – Psalms 1:2-3 (NASB95)

4. Be , be ready for ,

your faith and see it
