What Milton Reminded Me Of

October 13, 2024 / Pastor Dan Plourde / Matthew 24:6-8

Milton reminded me that

(Jesus) “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. – John 16:33 (NASB)

We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing.

– 2 Corinthians 5:2-3 (NLT)

God used Milton to remind me of

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” – Luke 10:41-42 (NIV)

 Milton reminded me of the

I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. – Isaiah 46:9-10 (NIV)

Bible Prophecy helps us understand that things aren’t falling , they are falling

I will bring my people Israel back from exile. “They will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them, “says the LORD your God. – Amos 9:14-15 (NIV)

…and you will come up against My people Israel like a cloud to cover the land. It will come about in the last days that I shall bring you against My land, – Ezekiel 38:16 (NASB77)

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet For nation (ethnos) shall rise against nation (ethnos), and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines (limoi), and pestilences (loimoi), and earthquakes (seismos), in divers places. (KJV) But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pains (NASB) – Matthew 24:6-8

“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. – Matthew 5:16 (NASB95)
