ABRAM ABRAHAM

April 5, 2020 / Pastor Dan Plourde / Genesis 12-14

And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you – Luke 17:6-7 (NASB)

…faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word (rhema) of God (Christos) – Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

– Genesis 1:1-2 (NIV)

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning — the first day. – Genesis 1:3-5 (NIV)

The Key to Faith is saying what

(Jesus)… the One who sent me is true; so I say in the world only what I have heard from him.

– John 8:26 (CJB)

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law (Deut. 28:15-68), having become a curse for us — for it is written, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE” — in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

– Galatians 3:13-14 (NASB)

Abraham…was called the friend of God. – James 2:23 (NASB)

Now Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver and in gold.

– Genesis 13:2-3 (NASB)

(Abram) He brought back all the goods, and also brought back his relative Lot with his possessions, and also the women, and the people. – Genesis 14:16 (NASB)
