Possessing Our Future II

But realize this, that in the last days difficult (chalepos: violent [GWT], terrible [NIV], perilous [NKJV], [KJV]) times will come. – 2 Timothy 3:1 (NASB)

Joshua in the Hebrew is in Greek

Jesus: iesous is a transliteration of the Hebrew “Joshua,” meaning “Jehovah is salvation” (VCED)

(v.4) Joshua will lead God’s people into the

…for His (Jesus) divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. Through these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature…

(v.5) For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” – Hebrews 13:5-6 (NKJV)

(vv.6-8) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate (hagah) in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous (salah), and then you will have good success (sakal). – Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) (Imago Dei)

But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, And on His Law he meditates (hagah) day and night. He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers (salah). – Psalms 1:2-3 (NASB)

God’s Success Plan

Decide to act on “Careful to do”(vv.7-8)

Meditate is how I the Word

Meditate: hagah – to ponder, imagine, meditate, roar, speak, study, talk, to mutter (OTESD)

Speak and pray the  not the (Nehemiah 1:8-9)

I will send My terror ahead of you, and throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. And I will send hornets ahead of you so that they will drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from you. – Exodus 23:27-28 (NASB)

(Jesus) “It is written…” (Matthew 4:4,7,10)

They have lived in it, and have built You a sanctuary in it for Your name, saying, (2 Chronicles 6:28-30) “If disaster comes upon us, the sword, or judgment, or plague, or famine, we will stand before this house and before You (for Your name is in this house), and cry out to You in our distress, and You will hear and save us.”

– 2 Chronicles 20:8-9 (NASB)

 Prosperity Means:

…let them say continually, “The LORD be magnified, Who delights in the prosperity of His servant.” – Psalms 35:27 (NASB95)
