The Church is Birthed

Jesus was crucified and raised weeks before Acts 1

The Disciples the Holy Spirit and are now

 And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” – John 20:22 (NASB)

 Approximately after the Disciples

the Holy Spirit, Jesus says they will be the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:3-5)

This was a basic teaching of the early Church:

Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms (baptismos), the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so. – Hebrews 6:1-3 (NIV)

The baptizes us into (we are )

For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body…  – 1 Corinthians 12:13 (NASB)
