Faith Under Fire

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all” – Psalms 34:19 (NKJV)

Principal #1 – A faith that is is a faith that can be

“These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold” – 1 Peter 1:7 (NLT)

“Every person is to be in to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.” – Romans 13:1 (NLT)

Subjection: Greek hypotassō – to be under or arrange respectfully and orderly underneath

Principal #2 – Be ahead of time

“You shall have no other gods before Me. “You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God”  – Exodus 20:3-5 (NASB)

Principal #3 – Being unprepared leads to

“No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NASB95)

Principal #4 – In times of trial, we cling to

“Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” – Job 13:15 (NKJV)

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1 (ESV)

Principal #5 – Gods plan is always perfect, whether the outcome is

Principal #6 – Angry men make

“And Nabuchodonosor heard them singing praises; and he wondered, and rose up in haste, and said to his nobles, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? and they said to the king, Yes, O king.”

Principal #7 – Jesus is in the Fire

Principal #8 – The only time the non-Believer sees Jesus is when

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you… If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God .” – 1 Peter 4:12&14 (NASB95)
